My name is Destiny Cole, and I am the author of A Journey of Celebration and Reflection, a journal for everyone ages 13 and up. I graduated from High School in June of 2023 and my next step in life is to attend college in the Fall of 2023. I have been a Girl Scout since I was in the 2nd grade. Girl Scouts has given me the opportunity to serve my community with my troop and individually, and it has built my leadership skills among many other things.

This journal was created as a result of me pursuing my Gold Award, which is the highest award offered by the Girl Scouts. I chose to publish A Journey of Celebration and Reflection as a journal because I was dealing with my own mental health and the mental health in my school at the time was not good.It came about as a result the pandemic and I wanted to contribute something positive to my surrounding community.I have shared some activities in the journal that are related to what I do for my own mental health.I have learned to celebrate myself and reflect on what I could do to change what I feel I can change.
